TVLine Items: Love on the Spectrum Season 2 Trailer, Hallmark’s Ride on The CW and More

A new crop of singles — as well as a few familiar faces — will dive into the dating pool in Season 2 of Love on the Spectrum, which premieres Friday, Jan. 19 on Netflix.

On Wednesday, the streamer released a new trailer teasing more heartwarming moments from the docuseries’ optimistic subjects.

The Emmy-winning show is an “insightful and warm-hearted series following people on the autism spectrum as they navigate the world of dating and relationships,” per the official synopsis. Season 2 will tell the stories of a “unique and diverse cast of characters — including new romantic hopefuls and familiar faces — searching for something we all hope to find, love.”

*The CW will rerun Season 1 of Ride, Hallmark’s one-and-done family Western, beginning Monday, Jan. 22, 2024 at 8/8c. According to Deadline, the network has no current plans to order a second season.

*ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest this year will for the first time be simulcast across 150 iHeartRadio stations nationwide, including Z100 New York, KIIS-FM Los Angeles, KISS FM Chicago, Q102 Philly, 102.9 Dallas, and more. The show will also be available on the iHeartRadio app.

* Pete Davidson’s new Netflix special Turbo Fonzarelli will premiere Tuesday, Jan. 9, Variety reports. This marks his second solo stand-up act with the streamer, following 2020’s Alive From New York.

*The untitled crime drama from Mare of Easttown’s Brad Ingelsby — which stars Mark Ruffalo — has added a few more to its ranks. Fabien Frankel (House of the Dragon, The Serpent) will portray Anthony, an integral member of Tom’s (Ruffalo) task force. Meanwhile, Alison Oliver (Saltburn, Conversations with Friends) will play Lizzie, an underperforming state police officer who is added to Tom’s team.

Set in the working-class suburbs outside of Philadelphia, the story follows an FBI agent who heads up a new task force to put an end to a string of drug-house robberies led by an unsuspecting family man.

Previously announced cast includes Ruffalo, Tom Pelphrey (Love & Death, Ozark), Emilia Jones (Lock & Key), Thuso Mbedu (The Woman King, The Underground Railroad), Raúl Castillo (Class of ‘09), Jamie McShane (Wednesday, The Lincoln Lawyer) and Sam Keeley (Joe vs. Carol, 68 Whiskey).
