The exact plot also remains unknown, but Deadline reports that the upcoming series is a medical drama set aboard a cruise ship, with Jackson playing the titular character “whose charms help him get what he wants.” The show received a straight-to-series order in March and is set to debut on ABC this fall.

Murphy will re-team with FX’s FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans collaborators Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken to pen the script. Additionally, Paris Barclay — another veteran of Murphy productions such as American Horror Story and The Watcher — will direct the pilot.
