Paul O'Grady: For The Love of Dogs season 11, 8.30 pm, ITV1
It is still hard to believe that the wonderful Paul O’Grady is no longer with us, so these final episodes showing his inspirational time spent at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home are a poignant watch. As the series resumes, (this episode previously aired in Scotland) he tries to help friendly Staffie Sarah, who is nervous about going outside, while stray Yorkie Pixie also captures his heart when she arrives with kennel cough, a scruffy coat and bad breath, which results in her needing to have 11 teeth out.
But it’s Lurcher puppy Tara who gives Paul and dog behaviourist Ali the most cause for concern when she falls ill with a dangerous infection…

Sort Your Life Out With Stacey Solomon season 3, 8 pm, BBC One
Stacey comes to the rescue of more desperate families whose homes are in need of a good declutter, in the third series of this popular makeover show. First, Stacey and her team – professional organiser Dilly Carter, expert cleaner Iwan Carrington and skilled upcycler Robert Bent – meet the Watling family from Surrey. Stay-at-home mum Chloe wants space to restart her home-baking business, while dad Tom overbuys treats due to working away. Daughters Aria, five, and Nerea, three, have more toys than they could ever play with! With a limited budget and just seven days, will Stacey and the team be able to sort their lives out?

Top Boy season 3, Netflix (box set)
Ashley Walters and Kano return as Dushane and Sully, with the action in this final series of the British gangland drama picking up shortly after Sully shot Jamie at the end of the last season, so there’s a huge fallout. Everything they’ve built comes under threat from forces outside and within their empire. Top Irish actors Barry Keoghan and Brian Gleeson join the cast as new characters Jonny and Tadgh.

The Killing Kind, Paramount Plus (box set)
Could you trust someone who was once your stalker? That’s the dilemma at the heart of this six-part thriller starring Everything I Know About Love’s Emma Appleton and The Fall’s Colin Morgan. Barrister Ingrid Lewis (Appleton) is getting her life back on track in the wake of a broken engagement and an intense relationship with client-turned-stalker John Webster (Morgan). When John gets back in contact with Ingrid to say her life is in danger, her instinct is to ignore him. But tragedy strikes, and an increasingly paranoid Ingrid starts to suspect foul play. A promising start to an intriguing drama.

Love & Death, ITVX (box set)
Based on a true story and written by Big Little Lies’ David E Kelley, this seven-part miniseries is a dramatisation of the affair between frustrated Texan housewife Candy Montgomery (WandaVision’s Elizabeth Olsen) and her shy friend from church Allan Gore (Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons) – an affair that ended in tragedy when their respective partners found out, and Candy ended up on trial for murder. If this sounds familiar, the 2022 Disney+ series Candy, starring Jessica Biel, was based on the same case – but this version is worth a look for its snappy script and thoughtful performances, particularly from Olsen and Plemons.

The Lovers, 9 pm, Sky Atlantic/NOW (box set)
Roisin Gallager and Johnny Flynn star as a pair of class-crossed lovers in this six-part comedy, penned by award-winning playwright David Ireland. Gallagher plays bad-tempered supermarket worker Janet, while Flynn stars as Seamus, a warmly pompous TV personality from London. The pair fall for each other after a chance encounter involving a gang of ruffians. It’s a fun ride, but both stars must work hard to make an unlikely love affair translate to the screen.

Best box set on TV tonight
All aboard for Netflix’s live-action and action-packed seafaring show, based on Eiichiro Oda’s acclaimed manga series. The eight-part comedy adventure stars Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, an unflappable dreamer with supernatural rubber-like properties, who is determined to find the fabled piece of treasure and become king of the pirates.
As leader of a ragtag band of misfits known as The Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy and his shipmates on the Going Merry use their distinct skills to defend themselves against unpredictable villains such as deranged clown pirate Buggy. Starring Jeff Ward, Emily Rudd and Craig Fairbrass. Narrated by Ian McShane.
