Claudia Jessie in Bali 2002
Claudia Jessie in Bali 2002

On 12 October 2002, two explosions devastated a busy tourist nightspot in Bali, Indonesia, in an internationally condemned act of terrorism killing 202 people from 21 countries and injuring a further 209. This four-part miniseries explores the events surrounding the double bombing, focusing on victims, survivors, the rescue operation, and the Australian-Indonesian investigation that followed. In an ensemble cast, Claudia Jessie plays British newlywed Polly Miller and Rachel Griffith is pioneering Australian burns expert Fiona Wood. Interspersing footage of the aftermath through  the dramatisation, this is an ambitious, powerful retelling of a harrowing atrocity.
