The long-running soap has already been axed twice since it began Down Under in 1985. But you can’t get rid of the Ramsay Street residents that easily! Just over a year since the ‘final’ episode aired on Channel 5, Neighbours is relaunching on free streaming service Amazon Freevee, with new episodes dropping Mondays to Thursdays. We are officially excited! Returning characters include Karl (Alan Fletcher), Jane (Annie Jones), Harold (Ian Smith) and Paul and Susan. And watch out for new faces in Erinsborough, including The OC star Mischa Barton, who plays a Lassiters hotel guest – who may be up to no good!

Jimmy Doherty's New Zealand Escape, 8 pm, Channel 4/Channel 4 On Demand (box set)
Amiable presenter Jimmy travels the length of New Zealand, from the frozen south to the tropical north, meeting innovative farmers, fishermen and small-business owners to see how they are earning a living from the land and sea. He begins the four-part series on Stewart Island, where he goes fishing for blue cod on the choppy seas (a brave-faced Jimmy looks distinctly queasy to us!). He later heads to Lammermoor Distillery to sample the whisky wares, before taking to the skies to explore the stunning glaciers of Aoraki/Mount Cook.

Married At First Sight UK, 9 pm, E4
For the uninitiated, ‘MAFS’ isn’t something involving equations and calculators – it’s the TOWIE-like acronym of this juggernaut of a show (there are also popular Australian and American versions), which begins its eighth series tonight. The brides and grooms – who won’t meet until their wedding day – convene at the stag and hen parties, and then the weddings begin… What could possibly go wrong?! Continues every night at 9pm until Friday, when the first four episodes will air on C4 in a mega MAFS marathon from 10pm.

Ashley Walters and Kano return as Dushane and Sully, with the action in this final series of the British gangland drama picking up shortly after Sully shot Jamie at the end of the last season, so there’s a huge fallout. Everything they’ve built comes under threat from forces outside and within their empire. Top Irish actors Barry Keoghan and Brian Gleeson join the cast as new characters Jonny and Tadgh.
