With May almost upon the TV calendar, linear fatigue plagues many a Big Four series. With the exception of the 10 o'clock hour on Tuesday night, most series were down.
That includes NCIS. The CBS drama shed three-tenths of a point in the key demo for a low 1.3 rating among adults 18-49. With 13.1 million viewers, it was still easily the most-watched show of the night. Bull also lost some demo steam, down to a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49, while NCIS: New Orleans (1.1 adults) was actually up a tick.
NBC led the night with a two-hour episode of The Voice. It averaged a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49, down from the prior week, but was an overall improvement for the network by stretching into the 9 o'clock hour. Trial & Error averaged a 0.9 and a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49.
On ABC, The Middle (1.2 adults), American Housewife (1.2 adults), Fresh Off the Boat (0.9 adults), Imaginary Mary (0.9 adults) and Agents of SHIELD (0.8 adults) were all steady.
Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine was even with its midseason premiere, averaging a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49. Prison Break, however, dipped again to a 0.9 rating. That's after live-plus-7 day returns have the premiere now up to a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.5 million multiplatform viewers.
