S.J. Clarkson will expand her superhero directing credits by adding episodes 1 and 2 of the upcoming series “Marvel’s The Defenders” to her resume. The “Jessica Jones” director will return to the Marvel universe after working on “Vinyl” and “Orange is the New Black” to direct the first two episodes of the new Netflix original series, which follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist in their fight to save New York City. Clarkson will also serve as an exec producer on the premiere episode. The eight-episode limited series is slated to debut in 2017.
Decades Network, the multicast TV network, has announced its “Cop Show Binge” special programming lineup for November. Featuring cops on the beat and detectives on the street, the binge will consist of episodes from different classic TV cop shows including “The Untouchables,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “The Rookies,” “21 Jump Street,” and “Wiseguy.” The binge-a-thon kicks off on Tuesday, Nov. 1 and continues every day through Sunday, Dec. 4.
15-time NBA all-star Kevin Garnett will serve as a contributor on TNT’s NBA coverage. The former MVP will appear weekly throughout the season, providing insight and commentary from a custom standalone set. He will be joined by special guests from the worlds of entertainment and sports and the content will be distributed across multiple platforms, including “NBA on TNT” and the Bleacher Report.
