These TV Marathons Just Answered What You're Doing This Labor Day Weekend
It’s Labor Day Weekend 2020, a return to September like we’ve never experienced before — in part, because we could have sworn that we were still in April. But here we are, strapping in to Zoom classrooms and soaking up those last rays of socially-distanced sun as the three-day weekend marking the end of summer rolls along. So, how do you celebrate at a time when everything feels the opposite of normal? We’re turning to our great lockdown savior TV, and embracing the most hallowed Labor Day weekend tradition of all: the TV marathon. The world may be burning, but if your typical Labor Day weekend looks like 12 hours in front of a TV, we’ve got your back. We’re talking 90 Day Fiancé marathon on TLC, 12 hours of Beverly Hills, 90210 on POP, and an extra-special USA Law and Order: SVU marathon starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday (prime time, in LDW terms). And because we don’t want anyone to miss out on the best TV marathons this weekend, we’ll show you how to connect without cable too.
For those of you who cut the cord long ago, don’t despair — there are plenty of streaming services that offer add-on channels of your choosing, like Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, Fubo TV, or Philo. However you’re watching and wherever you’re watching, don’t spend another minute wondering what plans you can make last-minute or what safe outdoor activities you might not have thought of yet. It’s the end of summer, we’re exhausted, and fall is looming. Just let these TV marathons wash over you.
