This week in West Alabama, a lot of live theater, as Tuscaloosa Children's Theatre will perform "Rodgers and Hammerstein's 'Cinderella,' " The Actor's Charitable Theatre will produce "Something Rotten," and Theatre Tuscaloosa's Second Stage will feature Carol DeVelice in "Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End." Concerts in the area include Thomas Rhett, Janelle Monae, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin, Fantasia and Joe. It's also a festive week, with the Moundville Native American Festival, the Manhattan Short Film Festival, and the 18th Druid City Pride Festival.

"26th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival": 7 p.m., Bama Theatre, for the fall Bama Art House series. Global film festival in which more than 100,000 viewers in more than 500 cities over six continents view and vote on finalists. At the Bama Theatre, patrons will get a voting card and official program, voting for one actor and film as their favorite. Votes are tallied then emailed to NYC headquarters. DEC. 5: Dickens Downtown, 5-8 p.m., downtown Northport. The free, family-friendly event is a Victorian-style Christmas celebration inspired by Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."
