After Turning 90, Clint Eastwood Is 'Truly Happy' with Girlfriend Christina Sandera

Clint Eastwood turned 90 on May 31, and it seems that the Hollywood legend has finally found peace. In 2014, he met Christina Sandera and they hit it off — six years later, the couple is stronger than ever, and the same is true of Eastwood’s other family relationships. Sandera has stabilized his life, and Eastwood is close with all eight of his children and his two ex-wives. It sounds like Sandera is truly Eastwood’s match, and that their innate compatibility has softened the actor-director toward a quieter life.

A source close to the family spoke to Closer Weekly about Eastwood’s newfound family harmony, and how it came together. Eastwood “keeps in touch with all eight of his children and their families,” the source confirmed. “He’s taken great comfort that at this time of his life, all his kids are close.”

One key to Eastwood’s kids all getting along? They can all agree that 56-year-old girlfriend Sandera is a winner. “She’s fun, easygoing and his kids like her, too. She’s on an even keel like he is,” the source added. “He’s truly happy with her.”

Despite Eastwood’s protests, his kids and girlfriend planned to celebrate his birthday however they could. Son Scott has revealed that it’s his and Eastwood’s tradition to indulge in some birthday cake together — something you might take for granted, but ever-dieting Eastwood certainly doesn’t.

“He eats healthy and has a private chef who cooks high protein, low-fat cuisine for him,” the source explained to Closer. “He exercises every day, with weight training.”

We all have to indulge sometimes! Hopefully, at age 90, Eastwood is enjoying the finer things in life: family, friends, and a really good piece of cake.
