Turner Entertainment Exec Kevin Reilly Lists Celeb-Pedigreed Pad (EXCLUSIVE)

An exceptionally well crafted and carefully maintained country Colonial residence originally designed in 1951 by master architect Gerard Colcord near the eastern border of L.A.’s discreetly swank Brentwood area, and currently owned by veteran entertainment industry executive Kevin Reilly, has come available at $12.75 million. Property records show Reilly, a former honcho at FX, NBC and Fox, and currently the chief creative officer for Turner Entertainment, acquired the 0.8-acre estate in May 2012 for just under $8.2 million from Harrison Ford, who bought it in 1983 for $1 million and last lived there with his actress wife Calista Flockhart.

A gated drive swoops up to the front of the unfussy but quietly dignified red brick- and clapboard-sided residence that measures in at a soupcon more than 7,200 square feet. Elegantly polished yet casually convivial interior spaces include a double-height entry; oversized living room with fireplace and sweeping city-to-ocean views; an ebony-paneled dining room with antique brick fireplace; and a bookshelf-lined library plus a small study. A spacious kitchen outfitted with slab-marble countertops adjoins the breakfast nook, and a notably lengthy family room offers a fireplace and media cabinet very likely to have been custom built to the exact specifications of Ford, himself a master carpenter. Two en-suite guest bedrooms on the second floor are joined by a master bedroom with cathedral ceiling, fireplace, city-view balcony, and roomy bathroom with silver-sided soaking tub. Two additional guest or staff bedrooms with private baths are housed in a separate, two-story structure at the top of the drive. Set well below the main house, a pool house with kitchen and bathroom sits atop a lower-level fitness room.

As for the Harrison-Flockharts, they decamped to a larger if far less architecturally pedigreed mansion deep in the Mandeville Canyon area of Los Angeles that they snapped up in the fall of 2010 for $12.65 million.
