In conjunction with the Wake Me When I'm Free Museum at LA Live honoring Tupac Shakur's monumental legacy, the Shakur Estate has announced a limited-edition Los Angeles location of the Powamekka Café, a restaurant conceptualized by the late rapper.

According to a press release, Tupac described the eatery as a place for all to "play and parlay," enjoy "down home Southern" cuisine and "escape the worldz cold reality."

Back in 2018, John Seymour and Nas brought the Powamekka Café to life in their Sweet Chik restaurant on Ludlow Street. This time around Fixins Soul Kitchen will serve as the location, conveniently across the street from the Wake Me When I'm Free exhibition in the LA Live area of Downtown Los Angeles near the Crypto.com Arena.

The temporary dining experience will feature original pages from Tupac's notebooks where he details the restaurant's concept alongside desired menu items like gumbo, chicken wings and meatloaf.

The Powamekka Café will be located at 800 W Olympic Blvd A150, Los Angeles, CA 90015 from June 16 – 30, Monday – Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Fridays 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Reservations will be available via Open Table.
