Former Alabama star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was loved by Crimson Tide fans, but since his entrance into the NFL, he has been a bit of a divisive topic of conversation. It all started when he was drafted No. 5 overall by the Miami Dolphins in 2020.

Since being drafted, fans, media members and analysts have debated the quarterback. First, he wasn’t being played enough as a rookie. Then, his numbers appeared too inconsistent. Most recently, it’s been about whether the Dolphins organization even wants him.

Tagovailoa himself even said that he doesn’t “feel not wanted.”

Such a shaky start for the once-presumed first overall pick.

Only two seasons in and his name has been in headlines for issues that don’t directly deal with the quarterback.

Miami recently fired head coach Brian Flores, a controversial move, but rumors and reports have since surfaced that Flores and Tagovailoa did not have the best relationship.

Another issue was the Deshaun Watson trade debacle.

The Dolphins owner, Stephen Ross and general manager Chris Grier believe in Tagovailoa and have mostly squashed all trade rumors that Miami will pursue the Texans quarterback, who is currently battling over 20 civil law suits regarding alleged sexual misconduct.

Today, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, tweeted a report that the Miami Dolphins will be moving forward with Tagovailoa as the team’s starting quarterback.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover Tagovailoa as he prepares for his third season in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins.
