Netflix has officially announced the upcoming premiere of its newest reality competition series titled The Trust: A Game of Greed, where players are given the chance to split the money equally among themselves or eliminate players to add more money to their share. It will be available for streaming on January 10, with new episodes dropping weekly.

This announcement comes after Squid Game: The Challenge recently wrapped up its 10-episode first season. Casting is currently underway for its upcoming second season.

What to expect in The Trust?

The Trust: A Game of Greed will be hosted by former CNN Newsroom host Brooke Baldwin. The 8-part series is executive produced by Ben Newmark, Dan Newmark, Jeff Spangler, Rob LaPlante, and David Friedman. It hails from Grandma’s House Entertainment and Lighthearted Entertainment.

“Eleven strangers are given a quarter of a million dollars to split evenly,” reads the synopsis. “Will they take their fair share? Or will the allure of more money cause them to vote each other out to keep more for themselves? It’s the ultimate test of human nature, as greed and mistrust threaten to destroy even the strongest of relationships. In this game, everyone starts as winners and they can all leave as winners – if they choose to share.”
