I have naturally dark hair, but pesky grays have kept me in the salon chair for more than a decade’s worth of color treatments.

Thankfully, brands like dpHUE have tons of hair products that maintain, restore, and extend your color, so you can save time and money between salon appointments. And during the PEOPLE Exclusive Flash Sale: Spring Refresh, our readers can get 30 percent off all dpHue products with the code PEOPLE30, which is an even bigger discount than what’s being offered sitewide right now.

One of the brand’s co-founder’s, Justin Anderson, is a colorist known for working with celebrities like Kristin Cavallari and Margot Robbie, and we found a series of dpHUE products to help you replicate such vibrant color from home. Read on to learn more about our proven favorites.

A hair gloss is a good solution when your color needs a little zhuzh: It restores vibrancy and dimension while creating a shiny, smooth finish. The dpHue Gloss+ is one of the best temporary hair color products we tested because the formula nourishes hair and adds a ton of richness to the color, and it creates lasting results for up to eight washes.

I’ve also personally tested this semi-permanent color solution and was very impressed. It delivered on all fronts — boosting my color, creating a glossy shine, and holding out, despite regular hair washes over the course of two weeks. I wouldn’t recommend it as a gray-coverage solution, but it definitely refreshes natural-looking blonde, brunette, red, and black hair.

Our team also tested the Root Touch-Up Kit for a full coverage solution. Our tester was middle-aged with light brown hair and regularly used color products to address sporadic and wiry gray hairs. We followed the instructions closely, utilizing everything in the kit, including a color activator, hair color creme, brush, processing cap, disposable bowls, gloves, and samples of the Color Fresh shampoo and conditioner.

The color was seamless to prepare, took less than five minutes to apply, and has a thick formula that stayed in place during the 45-minute development period with no drips. It’s a gentle formula, which requires more processing time and wasn’t as successful with gray coverage as stronger, chemical formulas. But our tester liked the color and called it “noticeable but natural.”

There’s a little extra TLC required with blonde hair to prevent it from turning brassy, and purple shampoo gets the job done. Celebrity hair colorist George Papanikolas previously told PEOPLE, “The shampoo contains purple pigment, which neutralizes unwanted yellow tones on lightened hair.”

We tested the dpHUE Cool Blonde Shampoo among other top-rated options, and it was a close second to our best overall. It showed meaningful results after just one wash, adding brightness to our tester’s blonde color. It thoroughly cleansed the hair and actually hydrated it, thanks to a silk protein that targets damage and dryness.
