It was a #covfefe kind of day yesterday as the Twitterverse took to President Donald Trump's most recent and confusing midnight Tweet like moths to a flame. On May 30th, 2017 at 9:06 p.m. Trump tweeted, "Despite the constant negative press covfefe" and the media rushed to figure out what the heck covfefe meant. Samantha Bee on Full Frontal was just happy that he had kept one of his campaign promises saying, "Trump was right. He does have the best words and he spells them correctly too. V before E except after C."
The tweet stayed on Trump's feed for a good five hours before being taken down and the internet quickly rolled out a slew of covfefe memes. It seems that covfefe is really in the eye of the beholder but Press Secretary Sean Spicer thought there was definitely meaning behind the new word saying "I think the president and a small group of people know exactly what it means."
