Truly Texan: From Austin police officer to UN police adviser, hear Rudy Landeros' story
Rudy Landeros has lived a life of service, first for a brief time as a teacher and then as an Austin police officer and finally as a United Nations police adviser.
In this week's episode of Truly Texan, Landeros talks about his time as a policeman and UN police adviser, which is a job that took him to Sierra Leone and Afghanistan.
He also touches on his childhood of picking cotton and marching with César Chávez and his yet-to-be-published memoir that takes readers into an underground bunker during a Taliban attack.
