This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new albums from artists such as Trueno, Alejandro Fernández and Anitta, Alex Anwandter, and Rauw Alejandro, to name a few.

If you’re wondering why there are many album releases happening this week and potentially next week as well, it’s may be because a handful of Latin artists are trying to meet the Latin Grammys submission deadline of May 31.

Either way, more albums means more for fans to stream and listen to during Memorial Day weekend. From Trueno’s highly-anticipated El Último Baile, Gabito Ballesteros’ THE GB and Pepe Aguilar’s Que Llueva Tequila.

Camilo, Alex Anwandter and Nathy Peluso also released new albums. Meanwhile, Rauw Alejandro teased his upcoming set with the new track, “Touching the Sky,” which finds him dabbling in dance pop, a departure from his hard core reggaetón sound from Saturno. After all, he is kicking off a “new era,” according to the Puerto Rican hitmaker.

Last week, music fans voted for Bacilos’ new album Pequeños Romances as their favorite music release of that week. The set brought in 47% of the votes, beating out other new albums that dropped that week including LAGOS’ Alta Fidelidad, Alejo’s En Esta Nos Fuimos Lejos, and Darumas’ self-titled debut set. Coming in at a very close second favorite was Luis Fonsi’s travel-inspired album, El Viaje, with more than 46% of the votes.
