Troye Sivan and Charli XCX want you to sweat with them.

Today, the two pop stars announced their joint 2024 tour “Charli XCX & Troye Sivan Present: Sweat,” which will hit 21 U.S. and Canadian cities this September and feature opening artist Shygirl. Suffice it to say, news of Sivan and Charli’s joint slay spread across the internet like a queer pop bat signal.

“Prepare to be siiiick of me,” one fan commented on the duo’s Instagram announcement post.

“People don’t understand that this will go down in gay history,” another wrote.

The two pop stars hinted at the tour yesterday by posting matching teaser photos on Instagram. Sivan’s post features what appears to be a sweat-soaked white shirt and slightly exposed “happy trail,” while Charli’s post shows someone with a similarly soaked top pressing their hands against their boobs. The text over both photos simply reads: “Sweat. Charli Troye Sivan XCX.”

“It’s not lost on me the irony of me winning ‘man’ of the year when I did drag for the first time this year."

Unfortunately, the “Sweat” tour doesn’t have any non-North American tour dates so far. However, Sivan is set to tour Europe solo with his “Something To Give Each Other” tour this summer. Plus, both he and Charli are set to play the Primavera Sound musical festival one day apart in Barcelona next month. Dare I say an onstage collab seems likely?

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Sivan and Charli have teamed up. The duo previously worked together on Charli’s 2018 track “1999” and its companion song, 2019’s “2099.” While I’m still chasing the white whale that is “3099,” a little sweat is more than welcome.

Last year, Sivan dominated queer summer, from his seminal no-thoughts-head-empty, poppers-inspired bop “Rush” to his brave reveal that he is, in fact, vers. Now it’s Charli’s turn. Her forthcoming album BRAT is slated for a June 7 release, just in time for all of your Pride party needs.
