Trouble in paradise? Miami rap duo the City Girls just had a very public online spat

Are the City Girls going their separate ways?

The local rapping duo got into a heated online exchange on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday and fans were left wondering what was up.

The ladies’ tiff, which even included ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, has since been deleted, but fast fingered followers managed to get a screenshot.

By the looks of it, Yung Miami started the beef, accusing her bandmate (real name Jatavia Johnson) of “sneak dissing” her in two solo tracks “No Bars” and “Sideways.”

“For you to come on here and try to play victim is crazy!” wrote YM, aka Caresha Brownlee.

Brownlee, who was named as one of Sean Combs’ alleged “sex workers” in producer Rodney Jones’ bombshell $30 million lawsuit, also complained that JT didn’t have her back when things went south:

“A b---h trying to kick me while I’m down and play into these narratives!” the Opa-Locka hip hopper posted. “I been nothing but a friend to you!!!!! I ain’t jealous of a soul.”

JT vollied back: “Girl, the Internet told you which songs was about you ... Get your phone back from whoever this is. Baby don’t play with me!”

Eventually the two did stop typing and used their phones to call each other.

All’s good now.

“Jatavia, I love you,” Brownlee posted. “I’m moving on!”

The Liberty City native responded in kind: “I love you more. I actually love you the most!”

The entertainers, friends since high school, last released an album together called R.A.W. in October 2023. They do not appear to have any upcoming performances scheduled, but JT is in the midst of a 14-date club run. According to an Instagram post, she’s set to pop into The Office in Miami Gardens Saturday night, and BB Sundays all day brunch party in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday. No exact times were specified on either invite.
