Following the recent episode of 'The Kardashians,' the NBA player has been called out by his ex-girlfriend's family for his behavior

Jordan Craig’s sister, Kai, shared a post on Thursday, appearing to call out her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, for his “inexcusable” behavior when parenting her nephew.

Craig's 6-year-old son Prince Oliver, whom she shares with the athlete, was born in December 2016. Ahead of the birth of Thompson’s first child, the NBA player and Khloé Kardashian began dating in September 2016 when Craig was still pregnant with Thompson’s first child.

Since Prince's birth, the NBA pro has welcomed three more children — Theo, whom he shares with model Maralee Nichols, in December 2021, as well as True in April 2018, and Tatum in July 2022 with Kardashian.

In the second episode of the fourth season of The Kardashians, Thompson is seen interacting with Tatum and True while temporarily residing at Khloé’s home.

Following his appearance in the latest episode and Kim Kardashian’s defense of the NBA player's behavior, Craig’s older sister, Kai, shared her frustrations with Thompson’s parenting on Instagram.

In an Instagram post, Kai explained that for the past seven years, she has tried to “refrain from speaking up” to respect her sister's privacy, but after the recent episode it’s “just too much.” (Reps for both Thompson and Kardashian did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.)

“It's so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can't seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince," she alleges, calling it "appalling and inexcusable,” that his involvement in the kids' lives is different despite being "in the same city."

Addressing the SKIMS co-founder, 42, Kai says she doesn't "want to believe that you are insensitive" to the issues she's raising with Tristan's parenting.

“That's nice if he's been a good friend to you, but let's consider our sisters before taking to global platforms to defend this man's character," Kai wrote, adding, "He's being applauded for picking up/dropping off other kids to school activities" though he allegedly doesn't do the same for Prince.

Kai added to the post by stating that “the child support rumors are INACCURATE!”

"Despite it all, my sister continues to work multiple jobs as she has since she was 16 years old so that Prince will never have to feel a difference," she levels.

"But regardless, stepping up for your son is not all about money it's about the time spent. @RealTristan13 you are NOT a good father if you can't be a good father to ALL of your children," concluded Kai.

Kai’s post followed Kim's recent confessional where she revealed why she’s able to continue to support and defend the NBA player, despite his "f---ed up" actions in the past, including cheating on Khloé multiple times.

"It's so crazy because he's such a good friend and he's such a good dad, but he just couldn’t get it together in that area of being a faithful boyfriend,” said Kim.

"You want to obviously hate him for that," Kim continued. "Yeah, of course, his actions and who he was are so f---ed up, I can't deny that, and we've had our talks about it and had our fights about it... but he’s also shown so many decent things and has been a really good person and friend."
