Trinity Creative Partnership Acquire U.K. Rights to Historical War Film ‘Love, Courage & the Battle for Bushy Run’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Trinity Creative Partnership have snapped up U.K. sales rights for historical war film “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run,” which is launching at AFM.

Set in 1763, “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run” is a historical drama set against the backdrop of one of the most defining moments in American history, the battle of Bushy Run. Dave Alan Johnson (“Christmas with Tucker”) and Larry A. McClean (“Pacific Rim”) direct from a screenplay by Charlie Richards (“House Rules”).

The battle unfolds during the Pontiac’s War in the aftermath of Britain’s 1763 triumph over France when a clash of cultures and strategies in the American Colonies took tensions to new heights.

“As Native tribes, driven by fear of British retaliation, unite under the leadership of Ottawa Chief Pontiac, the film explores the unconventional and brutal tactics employed in their quest to capture Fort Pitt,” reads the logline. “Simultaneously, Colonel Henry Bouquet and his diverse group of British soldiers, Scottish Highlanders and American volunteers find themselves tasked with protecting the lives of hundreds who face certain doom within Fort Pitt. This lesser-known chapter of history is brought to life in a dramatic tale of survival and strategy.”

Adam Baldwin (“Serenity”), Jackson Hurst (“The Mist”) and Rachel Hendrix (“October Baby”) star alongside Tom Connolly (“Lost”), Rachele Schank (“The Sex Lives of College Girls”) and J. Michael Finley (“I Can Only Imagine”).

The film will get a theatrical release in 2024.

“We’re excited to have secured an all rights deal for the U.K. on this film which we believe will do justice to this incredible story,” said Andy Taylor, commercial director for Trinity. “Based on true events that changed the course of history, this captivating drama is set to make waves in the entertainment industry.”

EFG-Renascence Production founder and managing director Solomon J LeFlore, who facilitated the agreement for U.K. rights, added: “I’m so happy to work with Andy Taylor and Trinity Creative Partnership to get ‘The Battle of Bushy Run,’ our entertaining, commercial film and its fascinating and historically important story to the U.K. and worldwide audiences. Like other successful heroic historical-action-dramas (“Dances With Wolves,” “The Last of the Mohicans” and “The Patriot”) this film is sure to entertain and inspire meaningful discussions.”
