Julien’s Auctions is helping to keep the memory of Lady Di alive.

The L.A. auction house is holding an epic sale in honor of Diana, Princess of Wales this summer that will help to raise funds for charity. Taking place live and online on June 27, Princess Diana’s Elegance and a Royal Collection will include an impressive array of dresses, suits, shoes, and accessories worn by the late royal. It is the largest assortment of Princess Di’s belongings to be offered at auction since the historic Christie’s sale in 1997. (It was held just before Diana’s death and achieved $3.26 million.)

Lady Di is credited with revolutionizing royal fashion, opting for bold sweaters and statement-making gowns that challenged conservatives. She also changed how the royals interacted with the public and advocated for causes previously considered taboo among the blue bloods. The auction celebrates both her trail-blazing attitude and philanthropic spirit.

“Julien’s is honored to present this historic auction that will celebrate Princess Diana’s iconic fashion style and her reign as the People’s Princess and will be the largest Diana collection to come to auction in 27 years,” Julien’s cofounder and executive director Martin Nolan said in a statement.

Diana worked with a few trusted designers such as Catherine Walker, Jacques Azagury, Victor Edelstein, and Murray Arbeid to create show-stopping pieces. (You might remember one of her Jacques Azagury gowns recently hammered down for a record $1.14 million at Julien’s, becoming the most expensive Lady Di–worn dress sold at auction.) One of the most exquisite pieces on offer is a Diamante Star gown by Arbeid (estimate: $200,000 to $400,000) that Diana wore to the Phantom of the Opera premiere and a dinner with King Constantine of Greece in 1986 (pictured top).

Another jaw-dropping number is a silk and lace evening dress designed by Victor Edelstein (estimate: $200,000 to $400,000) that she wore in London and Hamburg in 1987. Edelstein, who first met the princess when she was pregnant with Prince William, also created the elegant silk velvet gown she wore in a famous royal portrait from 1991.

More subdued outfits include a pink floral dress by Walker (estimate: $100,000 to $200,000) that the princess wore to St. Mary’s Hospital in ‘91 and Prince Harry’s school in ‘92, and a two-piece yellow and navy suit (estimate: $30,000 to $50,000) also by Walker that she wore to visit the British Forces in Hong Kong in 1989.

The sale will also feature plenty of the Di’s gorgeous accessories, such as a pair of green Kurt Geiger evening shoes (estimate: $2,000 to $4,000), a wool turban-style hat designed by Royal milliner Philip Somerville (estimate: $10,000 to $20,000), and a Rayne London leather clutch (estimate: $2,000-$4,000).

The collection will be exhibited in Hong Kong’s K11 MUSEA from April 18 to 29 and Ireland’s Museum of Style Icons from June 11 to 27, before the auction takes place in California on June 27. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit nonprofit Muscular Dystrophy UK. No doubt Lady Di would love that.
