Bowls
Longtime Indian River County residents Travis and Maria Beckett, a couple who also operates Wild Thyme Catering, opened Sebastian's latest eatery in mid-October. Bowls serves just that — practically anything that's eaten in a bowl such as ramen, salads, stir fry, acai, smoothies and more. In the first few days, the owners quickly realized they did not have adequate staff because of the nationwide worker shortage, so the restaurant is open only during lunch hours for now. Bowls is described as "fine fast food," and also offers wine and craft beer. Management did not respond to TCPalm's requests for more information.

Cuban Flavor Food Truck
Cuban Flavor Food Truck in Fort Pierce debuted in September, serving traditional street-style Cuban food. No information about its menu was readily available, and management did not respond to TCPalm's requests for information.

Blue Iguana Sports Grill
Blue Iguana Sports Grill in Port St. Lucie opened Nov. 6, serving Latin American, Mexican and Cuban cuisine. Traditional Mexican dishes on the menu feature burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, flautas and more. Cuban entrees include picadillo, palomilla and masitas. The restaurant hosts "Latin Night" every Saturday with a live DJ and dancing. Management did not respond to TCPalm's request for more information.

Lush Lounge
Best friends turned business partners Amanda Bussett and Janelle Bremer opened downtown Stuart's newest addition in the former Vine & Barley spot Nov. 4. Lush Lounge features beer, wine, hard seltzers and bar snacks. The wine list has selections from across the world: California, Oregon, Italy, France, Chile, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Australia and New Zealand. There are 24 craft beers on tap, with a majority highlighting local breweries such as Hop Life Brewing Co., Walking Tree Brewery and Pierced Ciderworks. The bar also offers charcuterie boards with meats and cheeses, as well as sweets such as Key lime pie or a French macaroon platter.

Taylor Beach House Cafe
Christopher and Elizabeth Taylor debuted their new restaurant on Nov. 1 at the former Flash Beach Grille location in Hobe Sound. Taylor Beach House Cafe serves seafood, burgers, sandwiches, pasta and more. The most popular menu items are Capellini Fruit de Mer ($27), with shrimp, salmon, mussels, clams and calamari in a roasted garlic clam sauce over angel hair pasta; Beach House Burger ($16), served on a brioche bun with "surf sauce;" and fish tacos ($17), with blackened mahi, pineapple pico de gallo and a side of black beans over cilantro rice. The couple hopes to expand the menu and hours in the coming weeks. Their primary goal was to create a place to "gather, feast and celebrate" special occasions and every day life. They've been in the industry for over 20 years and also own Taylor Farmhouse Cafe in Jupiter.

Hobe Sound Social & Coffee
Jenny Doria wanted to create a casual spot in Hobe Sound where people can gather and socialize. She opened Hobe Sound Social & Coffee on Nov. 22, serving cappuccinos, lattes, kombucha and more. The most popular drinks have been the lattes: lavender, gingerbread and dirty chai. She brings in food from local vendors, including Joie's Vegan Treats, HoneyBerry & Co. and Jupiter Donuts — featuring sweet treats or appetizers such as a charcuterie board. Doria, who hopes her coffee shop will be the community's new "social hub," plans to host social nights with live music and board games. A grand opening is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

The Vero Beach burger spot has moved from 4211 20th St. to inside Phatz Chick N Shack at 1555 U.S. 1 #104.
CLOSED
Smiley Riley's Ice Cream Lounge
The Vero Beach ice cream parlor closed on Nov. 14, after opening in 2018. Management did not elaborate on the decision to close.
