Travis Scott Brings ‘Utopia’ to 2024 Grammys Performing ‘Fe!n’ With Playboi Carti

Travis Scott hit the 2024 Grammys stage on Sunday night to bring his Utopia album to life.
The performance opened with Scott performing “My Eyes” from a raised platform as fog filled the stage, and as he segued into “I Know,” the rapper moved closer to the stage. As he began to deliver “Fe!n,” bursts of flames revealed a pit made of speakers while Playboi Carti joined him.

Scott earned one nomination this year in the Best Rap Album category for Utopia. The LP served as the long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Astroworld. Sunday night’s performance also marked Scott’s first return to the ceremony stage following the 2021 Astroworld tragedy.
In November 2021, 10 individuals died in a crowd rush at Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas. In June, a Texas grand jury decided not to pursue criminal charges against the rapper. Scott also faced a slew of civil lawsuits from families of the victims, some of which he has since settled.
Scott recently wrapped his tour in support of Utopia, which saw him stopping in cities all around the country. Notably missing from the trek, however, was Houston.
“Utopia is a suitable #event for younger fans who simply want new Scott to scream while they mosh (wearing his merch and his shoes), but there are other listeners who expect rappers to have something distinctive about them,” Rolling Stone‘s review said about Utopia, which features songs such as “Modern Jam” with Teezo Touchdown, “Meltdown” with Drake, and “Delresto (Echoes)” with Beyoncé.
