Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival Sells Out in Under an Hour

Travis Scott announced that his Astroworld Festival fully sold out today in under an hour, with over 100,000 people expected to attend the event.

The event, taking place November 5-6 in Scott’s hometown of Houston, sold through all its passes before a lineup has been announced, making Astroworld the only major music festival to sell out in advance every year since its inception.

Scott is confirmed to headline this year’s festival as he prepares for the upcoming release of “Utopia,” his fourth solo studio album.

For this year’s Astroworld, with the theme “Open Your Eyes to a Whole New Universe,” Scott will curate a multi-stage festival experience that honors the nostalgia of AstroWorld, the legendary and now-defunct Texas amusement park Scott enjoyed as a child.

Astroworld Festival launched in 2018, with Scott headlining and supporting acts including Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Rae Sremmurd, Gunna, Houston All Stars, Sheck Wes, Metro Boomin, Trippie Redd, Virgil Abloh, Smokepurpp and Tommy Genesis.

In 2019, the festival returned with Pharrell, Rosalía, Young Thug, Megan Thee Stallion, Migos, Playboi Carti, DaBaby, Gucci Mane, Don Toliver, Pop Smoke, Tay Keith and more.

Last year, Scott put out collaborative singles with Kid Cudi and Kanye West and had a featured slot on Rosalía’s “TKN.” Recently he released “The Plan” for Christopher Nolan’s film “Tenet” and “Franchise” featuring Future, Young Thug and M.I.A.; just this week he was featured on Baby Keem’s “Durag Activity.”

In September, Scott partnered with McDonald’s for the Travis Scott Meal, which was the franchise’s first celebrity meal since Michael Jordan’s 1992 McJordan burger.
