Taylor Swift is getting support from Travis Kelce's close friend Aric Jones on the release day of her new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Jones, 32, who has been spotted watching Chiefs games alongside the Grammy-winning artist, showed love for the highly-anticipated new album from Swift, 34, in a post on Instagram Stories.

The Homebred designer screenshotted the album's tracklist on Apple Music and wrote, "Sis dropped! LFG @taylorswift," adding a fire emoji.

Jones' championing of Swift led to appreciative tweets from her fans.

"I love that his friends are so openly supportive of her," one user wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Another user said, "That is sooooo sweet of Aric!"

As Swifties speculate the deeper meaning behind the singer's new lyrics, some theories point to mentions of Kelce, 34, and his friends on Swift's new album. Among the 31 tracks on the new album is a song called "So High School" — which Swifties have theorized is about her romance with the NFL star.

On the track's first verse, Swift sings, "Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me / It's just a game, but really / I'm bettin' on all three for us two."

In 2016, Kelce played a game of "Kiss, Marry, Kill" during an interview with AfterBuzz TV that resurfaced last year. The tight end was asked to choose between Ariana GrandeKaty Perry and Swift before ultimately choosing to "kiss" his future girlfriend.

She also seemingly mentions Kelce's talent on the football field and how it differs from her life as a poetic songwriter with the lyric, "Truth, dare, spin bottles / You know how to ball, I know Aristotle / Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto."

Swift mentions the subject's group of friends again in the line, "I'm watchin' American Pie with you on a Saturday night / Your friends are around, so be quiet." Kelce is well known for having his crew of friends, including Jones, with him at events and at home.

In February, Jones told PEOPLE that he lived in Kelce's Kansas City home for a while after college, and the friends spent their Thanksgiving in 2023 eating KFC with pal Kumar Ferguson and watching the movie "Four Brothers" at Kelce's home.

Jones and Kelce, 34, grew up playing sports together in Cleveland and the two have remained close friends ever since.

"We were on the Mighty Mites Hockey team together. I was four, Trav was five, and he was the biggest and the best player on the team, and I was the smallest and the funniest player on the team," Jones told PEOPLE.

Jones is the self-described "party captain" during Chiefs game days, and each of the familiar faces in the Kelce family suite have their own "role" when it comes to game day routines.

“So obviously, Kumar's making the food for Trav, and Trav gets his haircut on game days by Patty Cuts," Jones said. "He will drive to the game with one or two people, depending on who they are. I don't go to the games with Trav because my job is to be on the party bus entertaining the guests."

“I'm up in the front and as loud as I can be. I'm the fan guy," he said of his role, which fans of Swift's will likely recall from footage of the singer in the suite at games.

"These people know me as I'm the one up there interacting with the fans, being loud in the suite, getting all the energy exactly where it needs to be in the front. There's a party in the back, energy in the front.”
