Travis Kelce’s Trip To Visit Taylor Swift in Argentina Just Took Another Unexpected Turn

It seems like Travis Kelce’s trip to Argentina to catch another one of Taylor Swift’s shows has taken yet another unexpected turn. The Kansas City Chiefs had reportedly made plans to visit the “Blank Space”singer in Argentina during the Chiefs’ bye week. But fans were puzzled when they discovered that Kelce was no where to be found at Swift’s first show in Buenos Aires on Nov. 9.

Instead, the star tight end was attending a charity event in Kansas City on behalf of Patrick Mahomes’ foundation, 15 and the Mahomies. Contrary to whispers suggesting that Kelce’s decision to juggle his time between a friend’s charity event and his relationship with Swift indicated a cooling romance, the two seem to be very much on, as Kelce reportedly just arrived in Argentina, per ET.

But just as Kelce was gearing up to sing along with the rest of the Swifties at his girlfriend’s Buenos Aires show tonight, another complication popped up in his bye week schedule. The Eras musician announced on social media that she had to postpone her second Buenos Aires show, which was supposed to happen tonight.

“I love a rain show but I’m never going to endanger my fans or my fellow performers and crew,” Swift posted to her Instagram story. “We’ve rescheduled tonight’s Buenos Aires show for Sunday due to the weather being so truly chaotic it would be unsafe to try and put on this concert,” she explained before adding, “Good news is I get to stay in Argentina longer!!”

Reports of heavy rain and flooding on social media confirm that postponing the show until Sunday, Nov. 12 was the safest choice, but it also presents a potential conflict for Kelce. His team is scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 20, and it isn’t exactly clear when the players have to return from bye week for practice. There has not been confirmation either way, but there is a chance that Kelce misses both of her shows in Argentina should he need to get back for practice.

Even if Kelce doesn’t quite make it to the rescheduled concert, there’s a silver lining for the couple. They now have the chance to savor some quality “us” time that doesn’t involve one rooting for the other amidst roaring fans or from the vantage point of box seats. Now, it’s all about swapping the stage and stadium for some true R&R.
