Patrick Mahomes is giving Swifties the behind-the-scenes information on how Taylor Swift came to be at Travis Kelce’s football game in Kansas City on Sunday.

During a press conference following Sunday’s game, Mahomes, 28, told reporters that Kelce, 33, told him “at the last minute” that Swift would be in attendance as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.

“There’s things with Trav where he kind of just says it and you don’t know if it’s true or not,” the Chiefs quarterback said, according to KCTV5’s Jared Koller. “It was like Friday and he was just like, ‘Oh yeah, I think she’s coming to the game.’”

The singer sat in Kelce’s suite with his mother, Donna Kelce, as she cheered for the tight end in videos that circulated on social media. Swift, 33, and Donna were all smiles throughout the game as the Chiefs defeated the Bears 41-10.

While Mahomes told reporters that he knew the “Anti-Hero” singer would be at the game, he hasn’t gotten any face-to-face time with her — yet.

“I haven’t got to meet her but I guess if she ends up being with Travis then I’ll probably meet her at some point,” he said. He added that Swift “seems like a good person so hopefully I get to meet her one day.”

During the same press conference, the Chiefs head coach Andy Reid joked as he told reporters, “I set them up.”

In another post-game interview with Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews, Mahomes reflected on the “pressure” he faced during the game to get his teammate a touchdown, given the special guest in the audience.

“Do you realize how much pressure there was on you today from the Swifties to get Travis Kelce a touchdown with Taylor in the house today?” Andrews asked the NFL MVP.

“Yeah I heard she was in the house,” he said. “I felt a little bit of pressure so I knew I had to get it to Trav.”

Mahomes added of Kelce, “I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.”

Rumors have swirled the last few weeks that the singer and the two-time Super Bowl champion are dating, and Swift's attendance at Sunday's game added to the chatter. Swift was the focus of much of the game’s coverage, particularly after she was seen celebrating Kelce’s touchdown alongside his mother and other supporters in his suite.

Swift’s appearance at the game came just days after Kelce invited her to attend during an interview on The Pat McAfee Show.

The tight end was coy about the details but revealed on the show that he “threw the ball in her court” as he said to her, "I've seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead [Stadium]. You might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit."

It was the first time the NFL star had publicly addressed rumors surrounding his love life. The saga first began in July when, after attending The Eras Tour, he revealed that he’d made a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but was disappointed that he didn’t get a chance to give it to Swift.
