Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce might be leaving the Christmas lights up until January if their busy schedules are any indication.

As the couple’s whirlwind romance continues to heat up, many fans have wondered whether or not Swift and Kelce will spend the holidays together, especially after Kelce stayed in Kansas City for mandatory practice on Swift’s 34th birthday.

Over the past few months, both Swift and Kelce have publicly shown their support for one another at various events. Notably, Kelce danced the night away at Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Argentina, while Swift has cheered on her beau at several Kansas City Chiefs games.

Amid their busy schedules, they have indulged in some fun holiday activities, such as visiting a Kansas City pop-up bar called Miracle with Kelce’s teammates. In early December, news circulated online that Swift was in attendance at the team’s holiday gathering at Miracle, which seemed to be a costume party (many couples were wearing matching outfits), and a few weeks later, she was seen sipping on a Christmapolitan at another Chiefs party.

So, will they be watching the fire glow on Christmas or cleaning up bottles on New Year’s Day together? Here’s what we know about their holiday plans.

After Swift's blowout birthday bash on Dec. 13, her calendar is looking pretty claer; she's on hiatus from her Eras tour, which is on hiatus until Feb. 7, 2024, when she is slated to hit the stage in Tokyo, Japan.

Of course, that’s not to say that Swift’s holiday break won’t be busy; she'll likely be back in rehearsals before returning to tour mode. During her cover story interview for Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, Swift talked about how she trained extra hard for the Eras Tour as she knew it would be more difficult than “anything I’d ever done before by a long shot.”

Going into further detail, Swift said part of her training included running on the treadmill every day while singing the concert's expansive setlist. ”Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs,” she said. After running she'd also strength train at her gym, Dogpound, and take dance classes.

Swift also said she stopped drinking alcohol in preparation for her three-hour and 15-minute show. “I know I'm not drinking on tour. I know I'm working out in between shows. I know I'm keeping my strength and stamina up. I know I'm going on that stage whether I'm sick, injured, heartbroken, uncomfortable, or stressed,” she said. “That’s part of my identity as a human being now. If someone buys a ticket to my show, I’m going to play it unless we have some sort of force majeure.”

For his part, Kelce does have a few work commitments in December. In fact, he has a game on Christmas Day as the Kansas City Chiefs are set to play the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.

Though Kelce will likely be busy with practices that week, it’s possible that Swift and Kelce could connect after the game like they have in recent weeks. Swift could even pop up at the game to cheer on Kelce!

Kelce’s mother Donna previously spoke with PEOPLE about her sons’ busy schedules, noting that as a result of their collegiate and pro football seasons, it’s been hard to make definite plans with them for the holidays.

“Ever since they were in college, we've always been on the road for [holidays],” she said. “It's either been in Cincinnati when they were at the University of Cincinnati or we're at one of their homes. So I've never been in my own home cooking for Christmas or for holidays. I mean that's the life of being a mom for the NFL. It's always work so you have to kind of go where they are.”

After the Kansas City Chiefs’ Christmas game, the football team is slated to take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 31. Yes, that means Kelce will be busy on New Year’s Eve. However, this game will also take place at Arrowhead Stadium, meaning Swift could fly into Kansas City to spend the holiday with Kelce.

Seeing as players typically have the day off after a game day, Kelce could ring in the New Year with Swift at midnight (and clean up bottles with her on New Year’s Day).
