Travis Kelce Was 'Taken Aback' by Recent Rumors & Insiders Are Setting the Record Straight

In the past year, Travis Kelce has gone from NFL fame to global stardom since his relationship with Taylor Swift went viral. The Kansas City Chiefs player has also made the most out of it too, recently signing up to become a host in an Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? spinoff as well as dipping his toes into acting for the very first time. But, of course, rising to fame has had its pitfalls too.

Most recently, One Tree Hill alum Jana Kramer made some unexpected allegations about Kelce in her podcast, Whine Down. “To me, he’s always drunk,” Kramer said, per OK! “Every time I’ve ever seen a video he’s just always drunk.”

Following the speculative comments about Kelce’s relationship to alcohol, multiple close sources to the player are speaking out and setting the record straight. “He was taken aback as he’s never met her and is just living his life,” one Page Six insider said of his reaction to the country singer.

The sources continued, stating that Kelce’s life has been surrounded by cameras recently, so that’s why the rumors might’ve emerged. “Of course, you’re going to see him drinking. He’s being watched everywhere he goes,” one insider said. “The guy is under a microscope, basically being watched everywhere he goes,” another echoed.

The insiders then reiterated that Kelce has his partying habits very much under control. “It’s not like he’s passed out somewhere,” the insider added. “If he was passed out somewhere, I would totally understand, but that’s not the case whatsoever.”

The source continued saying that Kelce is “doing the same thing” as everyone else, but with countless cameras on him at all times. “They’re not in the public eye,” the source added.

Lastly, sources confirmed the NFL star is “in training right now” and therefore wouldn’t even be allowed to bring drink as Kramer suggested. “If he was drunk, it would be a bigger problem,” the source added.

Looks like Kelce just gave a masterclass on how to subtly, but effectively, squash some rumors.
