KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — Maybe “there’s been a glitch“?

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce confessed on the latest episode of his podcast that he’s still not sure how he has ended up dating pop star Taylor Swift.

In this week’s episode of “New Heights,” which Travis co-hosts with his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, the two talked about how Travis and Taylor’s love story came to be.

Jason Kelce told their guest, rapper and comedian Lil Dicky, that their podcast had gained “a lot of new fans called Swifties.”

In response, Lil Dicky asked the Kelce brothers about the extra attention that has come with the couple’s relationship.

Jason admitted that “it’s not changed that much for me.” Travis continued the conversation, saying, “It’s fun” and claiming that “he’s having a blast in life, baby.”

“Just flying high, enjoying it all,” Travis said. “Bringing new lives to the football world and opening up the football world to new things.”

Lil Dicky went on to say that he feels Travis and Swift are “the best thing ever.”

“I think there’s just something that makes everyone feel like the world is like high school, where your most popular pop star beloved musician somehow how met your most popular beloved athlete and they actually fell in love and it’s just real. Anyone who hates on it is a bitter loser,” the rapper remarked.

“I appreciate it, man,” Travis replied.

“I don’t know how I did it because she wasn’t into sports, so I don’t know how the f— I did it,” Travis then admitted.

Lil Dicky then reminded Travis of his headline-making comments in 2023, when he unsuccessfully attempted to give his phone number to the “Karma” singer (via a friendship bracelet) at one of her Kansas City Eras Tour shows last July. Later, Swift called the move “metal as hell” in an interview with Time.

“No, I know exactly how I did it,” Travis laughed.

Travis has been busy as of late. Following the Chiefs’ victory in the Super Bowl in February, he supported Swift on several of her international Eras Tour dates, went to the Bahamas, and has been staying in California with the singer.

He’s also getting ready for his second annual Kelce Jam music festival next month in Bonner Springs.
