Travis Kelce Shared Some Praise for Taylor Swift's Bestie Brittany Mahomes but Not for the Reason You'd Expect

Now that Brittany Mahomes’ name is more synonymous with Taylor Swift’s bestie squad than it is with her previous status as Queen B of the NFL wives, it’s easy to forget that she was once known for more than her friendship with the Blank Space singer.

Travis Kelce, however, is making sure no one forgets Mahomes’ personal accomplishments as he made sure to shout her out during a recent episode of New Heights, the podcast he hosts with his brother, Jason.

Travis praised the mom of two for her role in founding Kansas City Current, a professional women’s soccer team. Though best known for her marriage to Travis’ teammate, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Brittany is a sports star in her own right thanks to her successful college soccer career and a year spent playing professionally in Iceland.

“Brittany is the one breaking ground to new areas,” Travis said in a clip shared to the Kansas City Current Instagram account. “It’s the first women’s, I believe, professional team to have their own facilities.”

Through her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end, Swift has formed a friendship with Brittany. The duo have been seen out to dinner with other Swift besties, Sophie Turner and Blake Lively. Brittany and the singer shared some adorable moments at a recent Kansas City Chiefs game too.

While we’re super invested in this friendship, we’re glad to see Travis making sure everyone knows that Brittany has many of her own accomplishments to celebrate!
