Travis Kelce wasn’t always a confident king!

The Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, admitted he was a “shy kid” growing up during a pre-Super Bowl press conference on Friday, and revealed that his mother Donna Kelce’s “home videos” of him helped him grow confident in front of the camera to the point where he now has fun with it.

“My mom's home videos, man. Just having that camera on me at all times,” Kelce told reporters with a laugh after he was asked where his confidence in front of the camera comes from. “Seeing what silly stuff I’m gonna do next," he added.

“Honestly, I’ve always been comfortable in the rooms that I’ve been in and I’ve just been fortunate that, I don’t know, I’ve been able to kinda look into a camera with ease, I guess,” Kelce continued. “I don’t know, it’s just having fun out there, I guess.”

Kelce went on to explain that “sports for me is where I built my confidence.”

“You won’t believe it, but I was a shy kid growing up, up until I got onto the sports field, or the court, or the ice rink,” he said. “And then I kinda let my personality show a little bit more because I was having fun, I was having success.”

“And that just kind of propelled me to have confidence in life,” Kelce added.

"It's another memory in the journey that we get to cherish, man," Kelce told reporters. "And I'm fortunate that I got all the support I need off the field."

He added, “it gives me a reason to play that much harder on the field is the people you just mentioned," referring to Swift, 34.

Following the Chiefs defeat against the Baltimore Ravens last week, Kelce and Swift were pictured sharing a kiss and embracing on the field as they were surrounded by cameras and teammates.

Kelce told Swift on the field, "Tay, I'm gonna enjoy with the guys,” before kissing the singer and telling her, "I love you."

The Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.
