Travis Kelce Says Christmas 'Ended Well' but Losing Game Was 'F---ing the Worst'

Christmas didn’t go as Travis Kelce had envisioned it would, but the Chiefs tight end’s girlfriend helped cheer him up.

On Friday’s bonus episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Travis, 34, said Christmas was “f---ing the worst, not gonna lie,” after Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, asked how his holiday went.

“I've had better,” Travis continued, alluding to the Chiefs' loss against the Las Vegas Raiders, their AFC West rivals, 20-14 on Christmas Day.

However, the holiday improved as the day went on, the tight end shared, and he hinted at some quality time spent with Taylor Swift.

“But it ended well, with good Christmas cheer and great people, and that's always gonna save Christmas — no matter if you lose to the Raiders or not.”

Taylor, 34, and her family were in attendance at Monday’s game, with her brother, Austin, dressing in a full Santa suit and her mom, Andrea, sporting a Chiefs Santa hat as they supported Travis from his suite at Arrowhead Stadium. Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce, was also in attendance at the game and watched from the same suite as the Swift family.

Despite the tough loss, Travis left the stadium hand-in-hand with Taylor, which likely underscores the day ending "well," as he told Kylie.

The couple's moment was captured by Kansas City Star photojournalist Nick Wagner, who shared the photo on Instagram. He originally captioned the post, "Spent my Christmas waiting for these two lovebirds," but later changed it to, "Merry Swiftmas to all who celebrate."

As for how Christmas went in the other Kelce household, Kylie said that for her, Jason and their three daughters: Wyatt, 3, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 10 months, “Christmas was great.”

“There was a question of whether or not presents would be there in the morning, but they were,” Kylie said. “They were there. Santa stopped by. Not a single ounce of coal was left, so, dodged a bullet there.”

She had previously told PEOPLE that Jason’s Christmas Day game against the New York Giants had led the family to decide to postpone the celebration until the 26th.

“Lucky for us, our girls cannot read a calendar yet, so we are going to take full advantage of that and pretend that Christmas is the 26th,” she shared earlier this month.

However, in Friday’s podcast episode, Kylie said they “lucked out” as Jason’s schedule “allowed him to be home Monday morning, so we were able to do gifts Monday morning and then dinner the 26th.”

Kylie's appearance on the podcast also saw her give a shout-out to Taylor's brother, Austin, 31, for sporting a Santa suit at Monday's game.

"That was a full commit, and I respect that," she said of the look, to which Travis agreed.

"It was a full commit. And he killed it," the tight end said before revealing the thoughtful gift that Austin gave him.

"He actually made me feel like a child because his gift to me was straight out of the bag," Travis shared. "It was in the Santa sack, whew, [he] whipped it out and handed me a VHS of my favorite football movie of all time."

Austin had gifted him a VHS copy of Little Giants, the 1994 film about two brothers' rival youth football teams.

"Santa kills it," Travis added of the gift.
