Just because it’s the off-season doesn’t mean we’re not paying attention to football’s favorite duo, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes—especially when they’re making moves in the food world.

As it turns out, the three-time Super Bowl champions are busy taking their teamwork off the field and into the restaurant industry as they announce their latest business venture, 1587 Prime Steakhouse.

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ New Steakhouse

Whether fueling up for practice or grabbing some post-game grub, Kelce and Mahomes love dining out together at restaurants. So, it’s only natural the quarterback-and-tight-end duo decided to go in on a restaurant of their own. And, what better place than in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri?

“[It’s] just another thing that we want to bring to Kansas City, to be able to show our appreciation for the city, knowing how much they love their food and how much they love their football,” Kelce told People.

The steakhouse is called 1587 Prime (a clever combination of their jersey numbers) and has been described as the "ultimate experiential dining destination” in a release. It’s opening in collaboration with Noble 33, a favorite global hospitality group of the players.

Now, let’s talk food. Will Kelce’s favorite seven-layer dip or Mahomes’ signature chili make it on the menu? Doubtful.

From the looks of it, this won’t be any ol’ home-style eatery. Instead, we expect a menu full of well-marbled meats (cooked to medium, if Kelce is ordering), lobster mac and cheese, French onion soup, and all sorts of other steakhouse favorites (hopefully even mashed potatoes, although this Kelce brother is not a fan).

The swanky, 10,000-square-foot steakhouse will feature multiple private dining spaces, a top-of-the-line kitchen, and an extensive wine collection, “all with hyper-subtle nods to Patrick and Travis' on-field accomplishments,” Noble 33 shared.

But, as fancy as it might seem, the partners have kept affordability in mind and don’t want the restaurant to be “too upscale, too high-priced that not everybody can go,” Mahomes said in a press conference.

“I’ve already seen the menu,” he said. “I can’t give away too many things, a lot of great stuff. A few of my favorites. Ketchup will be there,” noted the self-proclaimed ketchup connoisseur.

Right now, the grand opening of the modern steakhouse is set for spring 2025. And, while Kelce might not be hitting 1587 Prime for his pregame meal, we bet we’ll find him, Mahomes, and the rest of the KC players celebrating a post-game victory or two at their new hometown hangout.
