Before the release of Taylor Swift's record-breaking new album, The Tortured Poets Department, the Grammy winner's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, scored an early listen to her new music.

Multiple sources close to the NFL star, 34, tell PEOPLE that Kelce listened to tracks from the highly anticipated album ahead of its April 19 release.

"He is always in awe of her," one source says of Kelce's reaction to his girlfriend's new album.

Two hours after the release of The Tortured Poets Department, Swift announced that the project was a double album and released 15 additional songs at 2 a.m. — including two tracks that seemingly nod to her relationship with Kelce.

In her song "So High School" on the new album, Swift sings about a newfound love feeling “so high school” and seemingly references a former interview Kelce did where he was asked who he would marry, kiss and kill between her, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry. At the time, Kelce prophetically picked his future girlfriend to kiss.

"Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me (Kill me) / It's just a game, but really (Really) / I'm bettin' on all three for us two (All three),” Swift sings.

And in her song "The Alchemy," from the first part of the album, Swift uses football references as a nod to her boyfriend.

"So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut 'em from the team / Ditch the clowns, get the crown," Swift sings. She also references making a big "comeback" and a "winning streak" in the song that fans speculate is about her romance with the NFL star.

The bridge also seems to include a pointed reference to Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, when Swift famously celebrated with him on the field.

“Shirts off, and your friends lift you up, over their heads / Beer stickin' to the floor, cheers chanted 'cause they said / ‘There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league’ / Where's the trophy? He just comes, running over to me,” she sings, apparently a nod to Kelce reuniting with her on the field after his big win.

One week before the release of her new album, Swift and Kelce looked cozy while they enjoyed a weekend in the desert at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.

The couple joined Swift's former Eras Tour opener Sabrina Carpenter and her boyfriend Barry Koeghan during the outing and were spotted dancing and kissing while watching pals Ice Spice and Jack Antonoff's band Bleachers perform at the festival.

Before their PDA-packed appearance at Coachella, Swift and Kelce opted for a low-key date night in L.A. at hotspot Sushi Park.
