Perennial favorite Trans-Siberian Orchestra will return to Nationwide Arena for two holiday shows on Dec. 30 to take audiences on a holiday journey filled with symphonic rock, classical music, opera — and of course, lasers and other dazzling visual effects.

Tickets for the shows, which will be at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at ticketmaster.com and the box office at Nationwide Arena, 200 W. Nationwide Blvd. A limited number of discounted tickets for $39 (plus service fees) will be available for one week or while supplies last.

In addition, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio and The Salvation Army of Central Ohio.

Part of TSO's winter tour, "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve – the Best of TSO & More," the annual holiday spectacular will offer a new, even larger presentation that blends new features with traditional favorites.

Conceived by TSO's late founder, Paul O’Neill, and based on TSO’s multi-platinum CD and TV special, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” follows a teenage runaway who seeks shelter from the cold by breaking into an abandoned vaudeville theater on Dec. 24. Upon discovering the girl, the theater's caretaker employs the ghosts and spirits from the building’s past to turn her life around.

The rock opera will be followed by a second set offering TSO’s greatest hits and fan favorites like "Carol of the Bells" and "Christmas Canon," as well as a few surprises.

In addition, fans at home will be able watch a digitally restored “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” on WOSU during the holiday season.
