’00: “Previously on ‘The Traitors’!” In the 10th episode, MJ cast the tie-breaking vote that sent home Pilot Pete. The players then added $28,350 the prize pot by digging up and delivering golden nuggets onto floating platforms. MJ won a shield in that competition, saving her from the upcoming murder. At the round table, Phaedra’s time finally came to an end as she was eliminated by a unanimous vote. But enough about last week — let’s start the grand finale!

’03: Following Phaedra’s banishment, Kate made her way to the turret on her own and was greeted by Alan to make her final murder decision. Because MJ has the shield, “C.T. has the muscle,” and there’s suspicion on Sandra, Kate narrowed her options down to Trishelle and Shereé. She was torn between a sense of loyalty to Shereé with the possibility of that kill taking suspicion off of her and understanding that Trishelle has played a tough game with correct instincts about Phaedra.

’06: The next morning at the last breakfast, MJ arrived first on her own and then was joined by a pumped up C.T., a calm Kate, and an excited Sandra. Both C.T. and Sandra woke up in the morning thinking Kate is a traitor because of her “weird” behavior at Phaedra’s banishment, but Kate had her eyes on pushing Sandra and MJ was already on board with going for Sandra as well. Between Trishelle and Shereé, Sandra thought Trishelle would be killed, but C.T. was hoping that his closest ally would be kept safe.

’10: When Trishelle walked in, we went to a flashback to see Kate making the decision to kill Shereé in a “double bluff” in the hopes that people would think that clears her. On her own way out, Shereé told the camera that she had been convinced by Kate’s behavior that she was the final traitor and she would have been gunning for her in the finals. Meanwhile, Shereé’s murder further convinced MJ that it was Sandra that is the final traitor.

’13: After breakfast, Sandra and C.T. had a meeting of minds where they agreed to “start with Kate.” They felt like it “didn’t make sense” that Kate said Phaedra “played a selfish game” unless she felt betrayed by Phaedra somehow. In another room, Trishelle was talking to MJ and Kate about their thoughts on Sandra. Kate called her “brilliant” and a “game player,” but then later Trishelle went to C.T. to tell him that they “have to be on the same page” and that she’s down for them to go with Sandra to banish Kate next. The two of them thought that if they stick together they “have a really good chance of winning this together.”

’18: For their final mission and last chance to add money to prize pot, Alan brought them out to the coast with the task of making their way to a ship off the shore with detours along the way where they’ have to “evaluate risk vs. reward” to earn extra cash or waste extra time to get to the boat. In all, there was $50,000 to add to the pot, but only 60 minutes to complete the mission.

’20: C.T. wanted them to check out all the detours. At the first one worth $5,000 they needed to find a canister in a collection of lobster traps mostly full of seaweed. It took until 40 minutes left on the clock for them to find that canister, earn $5,000 and make their way to the next detour. At this second spot, Sandra and Trishelle “went up the hill” by while the others went for another $5,000 detour. Here their only clue was pictures of a large rock and so they were perplexed at what to do, but eventually found a canister with a combination lock. Kate eventually realized that numbers they need were back at the start so she and MJ went forward to join Sandra and Trishelle while C.T. backtracked with only 18 minutes left for them to finish the mission.

’25: C.T. retrieved the number “4653” and made it back to the women with 15 minutes left. Next they had to abseil 180 feet down the cliff to get to a smaller boat that would take them to the larger boat. With a fear of heights, Kate was freaking out about abseiling, but after seeing C.T., Trishelle and MJ do it, she was able to talk herself into doing it as well while they cheered her on. At the water they chose a final $10,000 detour with 10 minutes left and then found the canister in half that time. In the speedboat, they got to the larger boat with 3 minutes left and managed to raise sails, including the main one, to earn the full $50,000 for the mission with only 9 seconds to spare! Their latest acquisition raised the final prize pot to $208,1000.

’32: In the car rides back to the castle, Kate and C.T. were alone which provided her an opportunity to get in his head about the next banishment. Kate attempted to “frame” Sandra by insisting that she’s had her eyes on Sandra since she came into the game and has been set on doing better than she did in season 1. She also acted offended that C.T. would ask her if she’s a traitor because of the efforts she’s been putting in. Then later, when C.T. met with Trishelle and Sandra again he told them that Kate said her and MJ are going for Sandra. Eventually Trishelle and C.T. left and Kate entered so Sandra confronted Kate about coming for her. Kate told Sandra that C.T. misrepresented what was said in the car and so Sandra made the proposition that she, Kate and MJ all unite to vote out C.T. instead. Naturally, Kate went to C.T. next in order to further create confusion by telling him that Sandra is ready to banish him, not her.

’39: At the Round Table for the last time, C.T. spoke first to mention the suspicions about Kate for “trying to protect Phaedra.” Her response was that her only hope of staying in the game as a late addition was to form an alliance with the Bravo people. She said that she suspected Phaedra was a traitor, but she was more concerned with getting the other traitors first like when she came for Dan Gheesling. MJ switched the topic to her suspicion on Sandra because of the amount of time she spent one-on-one with Phaedra. Sandra clarified that she felt protected by Shereé and Phaedra and so in order to not be murdered, she had a strategy to remain close to them as “traitor angels.”

’42: C.T. shocked Trishelle when he said that he thinks Sandra is a traitor and that he’s willing to vote against her. Sandra said that she only told Kate she’d be voting for him after Kate said that he was going to vote for her. Sandra said she went into panic mode and insisted that Kate set her up, but MJ had Kate’s back. Sandra promised that she came into the Round Table expecting to vote with Trishelle and C.T. against Kate. She added that she wishes she had been selected as a traitor, but she “didn’t get that privilege.”

’44: After writing down the names of their votes, Alan had them read them aloud starting with Kate. She voted for Sandra. MJ voted for Sandra as well, calling it her “hardest vote.” Sandra voted for Kate, saying that she was probably recruited. Trishelle, nervous to flip over her board, revealed her vote for Sandra because she “wanted to be with the majority vote.” C.T.’s vote didn’t matter, but he, too, voted for Sandra because “everything just seemed to be pointing [her] way.”

’47: Banished from the game, Sandra told the group that her heart was broken because she never doubted Trishelle or C.T. and has no regrets. After revealing herself as a faithful, she wished them luck and left the room. Trishelle referred to it as a “colossal mistake.” Alan told the final four that they reached a new phase of the game where they can make individual decisions to banish or end the game in rounds until they all agree to end the game.

’50: Prior to their final decisions, everyone sat down for a private conversation with Alan. C.T. said that he’s going to “stick to the plan and vote out Kate” and that Trishelle is the only person he trusts. MJ said she trusts all of them, but realizes that there must be a traitor among them – her only goal is to be at the end and sharing the pot with faithfuls. Kate told him that her “next situation is the most difficult,” but all she can do is a lie and she “hopes someone cries.” Trishelle was nervous because after her plan to banish Kate, she doesn’t know what she’s going to do.

53: At the Fire of Truth, each player chose a pouch to throw into the fire based on their desire to “end the game” or “banish again.” The only time the banishing would truly stop and the game would end is when they all agree to “end the game” or if only two players remain. In the first decision, Kate chose to “end the game,” but the other three made the decision to “banish again” understanding that because Shereé was murdered there must be a traitor still among them. In the vote, Kate voted to banish Trishelle. Trishelle voted for Kate. C.T. voted for Kate. MJ sealed Kate’s banishment with a third vote for her. Banished from the game, Kate told the remaining three that she “only knows how to play this game as a faithful” and “would only like to win this game by sharing money,” but that she was a traitor.

’60: With Kate’s banishment, MJ was certain that both C.T. and Trishelle were faithfuls and they could all end the game together. Once again, they had to select pouches for Alan to throw into the fire. MJ voted to “end the game.” Trishelle voted to “banish again,” explaining that she thinks there was “room for five traitors” and there’s someone she had doubt about. C.T. also voted to “banish again” and said that there’s only one person he trusts and is “willing to share that pot of gold with.” MJ’s jaw dropped.

’62: Forced by C.T. and Trishelle to vote again, MJ had to cast a ballot against one of them against her better judgment. C.T. voted for MJ because he “only trusts one person.” MJ voted for Trishelle in a “Sophie’s Choice.” Trishelle voted for C.T., calling it “a hard one.” Because it was a draw, Alan needed them to vote one more time in order to “break the deadlock” after pleading their case. Trishelle simply insisted that she’s a faithful. MJ acknowledged that they don’t know her as long as they know each other and she was “just here as a faithful the whole time.” C.T. said he’s “been a good faithful” and turned to Trishelle to ask that they “finish what we started.” Trishelle pointed out that it was weird how he went back on the plan to banish Kate and calling Sandra a traitor. He replied that she’s followed her gameplay and helped her get a shield. He apologized and said he’s “never doubted” her. She added to her points that he saved John over her in the sacrifice. MJ knew she had to get involved and turned to C.T. to tell him that he’s wrong with his doubt in her.

’68: In the deadlock vote, C.T. voted for MJ again. MJ voted for Trishelle again. Trishelle switched her vote to MJ to secure the banishment. She said that she couldn’t write C.T.’s name down a second time because it was hard enough the first time. Stating it simply, MJ revealed the truth that she’s a faithful after insisting to both of them repeatedly that they all three were faithfuls and didn’t want the final vote to happen.

’70: With only two players left standing, the game ended and both had to reveal their true allegiance. C.T. happily declared himself a faithful. Trishelle reacted with tears of happiness and then revealed herself as a faithful “obviously” as well and so the two of them won together and split the $208,100 pot between the two of them. They felt slightly bad for banishing MJ at the end, but they had always agreed to go to the end together and were happy that they got there.
