Since none of the cast members were eliminated during last week’s episode of “The Traitors,” that meant we still had two traitors and 10 faithfuls running around the castle at the start of this week’s hour. The episode began with Phaedra Parks and Parvati Shallow considering whom to murder, with their only possible choices being Trishelle Cannatella, Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen, Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Kate Chastain. So who didn’t make it to breakfast?

’00: “Previously on ‘The Traitors’!” In the seventh episode, Pilot Pete declined the traitors’ offer of recruitment, which shocked Parvati and Phaedra. Later on, the pairs of Sandra & Kevin and Parvati & John were the only ones to make it to the end of the trivia challenge, collectively netting $8,000 for the group pot (plus shields for Sandra & Kevin). Alan shocked the players by announcing there wouldn’t be a round table, but instead a protection ceremony were various contestants would be saved from the night’s murder. In the end, only Parvati, Trishelle, Bergie, MJ and Kate didn’t receive protection — womp, womp. Who will be eliminated from the castle next?

’02: In the morning, Shereé and C.T. were the first to arrive for breakfast suspecting that the murdered player would likely be Bergie or Trishelle. They were joined by Phaedra, Sandra, John, Kevin, Peter, Kate, and MJ leaving Parvati, Bergie and Trishelle as the possible deaths. The room was under the impression that Parvati is certainly a traitor so they fully expected her to enter through the door eventually. Much to C.T.’s relief, Trishelle is the player that walked in with Parvati in the last entrance, signaling Bergie’s murder.

’06: In a flashback, we saw Parvati and Phaedra decide on Bergie as the kill because he is the closest player to Peter and since they couldn’t take Peter out their best move is to remove his second in command. At the breakfast table, Peter and Kevin lamented that they’re now down a number in their alliance and will have a tougher time getting the banishments they seek. Meanwhile, Trishelle still had her eyes on Phaedra and this morning she noticed a twitch in Phaedra’s eye that she knows to be a tell when she’s playing around the poker table. She knew that she’d need to “convince the other guys” to look at Phaedra as a suspect.

’09: After breakfast, Trishelle pulled Peter for a chat to explain her position on thinking Phaedra is a traitor. Her “biggest reason” was that Dan Gheesling tried to sacrifice Phaedra ahead of his own banishment in order to feed the group a traitor and clear himself. She also mentioned the twitch in her eye and made the case that it’s important to get Phaedra out now because “Parvati is a wounded bird” and “by herself,” while Phaedra has a number of friends in the house that will never vote to banish her. She said that they should “think ahead” by getting Parvati on-side to save herself by suggesting that they all go after Phaedra together. Ultimately, Peter thought that Trishelle “made some valid points” and was willing to “go with it.”

’12: Later in the morning, Peter pulled Parvati in order to clear the air and follow through with Trishelle’s plan — the two of them did not suspect that MJ was eavesdropping from the doorway. In the conversation, Parvati knew she couldn’t fully trust Peter, but she was willing to do what she could to get Peter to believe she’s a faithful in order to take some suspicion off of herself. Eventually, Peter said that he may have been wrong and suggests that they work together to go after his other target, Phaedra. When MJ reported back to the rest of the players about the secret conversation, Kate and C.T. assumed that it was just Parvati groveling at Peter’s feet.

’15: In the car ride to the next mission, Trishelle told Parvati in front of John and Sandra that she’s not convinced Parvati is a traitor and that she has “way more reasons” to believe that Phaedra is a traitor instead of Parvati. She told the group that she talked to Peter and Kevin already that she noticed how Phaedra is never nervous. By this point, Sandra was mostly concerned with focusing on Parvati still because she still sees her as the bigger threat that could prevent Sandra from getting to the end.

’17: At the site of their next mission, Dr. Will Kirby from “Big Brother” was sitting in a chair on the porch of a boarded up haunted house that he referred to as “unique.” He invited the players to enter at which point he locked them all in together and threatened that they’ll have to “find your way out.” He said that they have 30 minutes to escape for a possible total of $20,000, but for every player that doesn’t escape the earnings will be reduced by $1,000.

’19: C.T. was the first to realize that underneath the tablecloth there was instructions and a map of tunnels. The instructions clarified that they’ll need to use the tunnels to escape. They also found their first key, a couple radios to communicate, and the entrance to their first tunnel. C.T., Trishelle, Sandra, Parvati, Peter and John were the first to enter the tunnels leaving the rest behind for now because in order to light up the tunnels someone needs to press a button in the cabin, which turns the lights off in the cabin. While in the tunnels, the players were tortured by Alan who was pouring in buckets of bugs on them and shooting stinky stuff into the darkened cabin.

’24: When Alan poured bugs into the cabin while Kevin was holding the light, MJ decided that she had enough and uttered the secret phrase in order to willingly leave the challenge. With the second pour of bugs, Phaedra exited as well. Meanwhile, C.T. and Trishelle came across the shield in one of their tunnels and in order to rebuild trust, C.T. allowed Trishelle to claim the shield and then with Peter and John they devised a plan to not tell anyone else who has the shield. A little later, both Shereé and Kate gave up and left Kevin in the cabin alone to hold the lights.

’28: With only three minutes left, John was the first to successfully exit the tunnel with two pieces of gold in hand. C.T. made his way back to the cabin in order to lead everyone else out through the tunnels in the dark. Trishelle and Peter got out with gold in hand and only two minutes left, but when everyone else came out, C.T. went back in on his own to retrieve the last pieces of gold. He found one more gold coin and exited just in time. In the end, the group brought out $15,000, but lost $4,000 due to the quitting players. Alan also confirmed that a shield was claimed in the mission, but that was kept hush-hush by Trishelle.

’32: Back in the house, Parvati wanted to talk to John in the hopes of getting him to trust her and help save her from the next banishment. Parvati got emotional when telling him that she feels she trusted “the wrong person” and because of that a target was put on her and she’s been reacting “under threat” ever since. John told her that “for what it’s worth” he doesn’t think anyone else in the house “displays greater guts and character” than she does. He wanted her to “demonstrate” that she’s a faithful and won’t be coming for him.

’34: Trishelle told Kate, C.T. and John that she’s been noticing things about Phaedra “since day one” and she will be voting for her no matter what. C.T. said that he will follow the “most compelling” evidence, but Kate was hesitant by the switch from Parvati to someone that everyone has been so sure of the entire time.

’38: Parvati was the first to speak at the Round Table. She acknowledged that she’s on the chopping block and reiterated what she told Peter and John that she’s put up a wall because of “being under attack” and her friendship with Dan. Trishelle then brought up her “notes,” and supposed Parvati by saying there’s no compelling argument when compared to the notes she had on Phaedra. She listed that Phaedra is never surprised by who is murdered, never scared about being killed, and then closed with the point that Dan threw her under the bus. Phaedra responded by saying that Dan is smart enough to “protect the traitors” by throwing someone that he knows isn’t a traitor under the bus in his last moments, but Trishelle shook her head. Kate spoke up about her previous season where the game would have been “very easy” if they just banished whoever the latest banished traitor voted for before their exit. Kevin added to the notes that Phaedra’s eye twitches and Trishelle echoed that, but Phaedra scoffed and said she’s never heard of such a thing.

’42: When John next spoke he surprised Parvati, telling the group that he thinks she could “very well be a Duchess of Deception and a Mistress of Murder.” He told her that he’s heard her defense about Dan, but there “is no doubt” that they were accomplices of each other and “possibly his partner in crime.” He said she’s been worried about banishment, but not about murder like how she didn’t plead for her life at the sacrifice. Parvati said that he’s absolutely right, but it’s because there’s been so much suspicion on her that she is naturally more afraid of banishment than being killed.

’43: Peter jumped into the chorus by pointing out that he hasn’t seen the fear that “naturally comes with being a faithful” in any of Phaedra’s behavior. He and Trishelle said that they can’t get the Dan thing out of their minds and Trishelle added that “so many people have gone home for a lot less.” But Kate brought up again how passionate everyone was about voting Parvati out the previous day so it’s odd that there’s a sudden switch up on Phaedra. When Peter said that it was his conversation with Parvati that changed his mind, Phaedra said that it’s “because there’s a backdoor deal going down.” At that point, Phaedra admitted to the group that she was in the armory with Parvati and Peter where Peter told her that they can work together, but Phaedra wanted nothing to do with it. When Peter said that the conversation did take place, he said “I’m just joking,” but the room didn’t seem to buy his story. Kate pointed out that if it was a joke then, how is it no longer a joke and he believes her? She found it ridiculous that their big point against Phaedra was that Dan gave them a clue on his way out despite him being such a great game player. She negated that and said that he’s no longer there because he “sucked at playing this game.”

’46: Alan called the room to a vote with so much still in the air among the group. The votes began with MJ voting to banish Parvati, followed by Phaedra for Parvati, Sandra for Parvati, Peter for Phaedra, John for Parvati, Parvati for Phaedra, Kevin for Phaedra, Trishelle for Phaedra, Shereé for Parvati, C.T. for Parvati, and Kate for Parvati. The majority went for Parvati which meant she was banished and would leave the game. In her exit, she told them that she’s worked really hard to realign herself with authenticity and truth, but in this game she was selected as a traitor. The room wasn’t all that surprised by the reveal, but Sandra was happy to see her go so that she could be the “queen of this castle” and Trishelle announced that it’s time to “burn my notebook.”

’53: After the banishment, Kevin told MJ he “doesn’t feel good” about the day because of how Peter switched on the Parvati vote and that is leading him to mistrust him. In another room, Sandra was calling Peter a rat to Phaedra with “more traitor behavior than anybody.” Elsewhere, Peter pulled Kate to try and explain his actions, but she aggressively pushed back on him because he lied to the faithfuls in order to keep Parvati. In a confessional she said that she just doesn’t like playing with him and finds him “annoying.”

’55: At night in the turret, as the only remaining traitor Phaedra had a decision to make so that she’d no longer be alone. Alan gave her the opportunity to meet the player of her choice in the castle dungeon to deliver an ultimatum: “take the cloak or die.” She gave Alan the name of Kate, saying that they “have the same sort of kindred spirit” and likes that she’s “very direct” and “understands the game.” She wants them to be a “murdering duo.”
