The Trailer for Martin Scorsese's Bob Dylan Documentary Is a Rare Look at a Legend
On October 30, 1975, Bob Dylan set out on what would become one of the most iconic tour's in music history, the Rolling Thunder Revue.
"He was at the absolute peak of his powers and completely generous, finding people on the street and putting them on his stage. Finding old friends that he hadn't seen for 20 years and putting them on the stage," T Bone Burnett, who got his start with Dylan on the tour, told me earlier this year. "He gathered a pretty large group of artists for a tour. And it was an extraordinary act of generosity. I don't know where I would be today if Bob hadn't discovered me, if he'll forgive me for using that word."
Now, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese, who is behind some of the most important music documentaries ever made (along with modern classics like Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, etc), is giving the Rolling Thunder Revue tour his own treatment.
In the first trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary, we see a rare on-camera interview with Dylan along with incredible footage of the tour itself. As the Netflix description describes the movie:

The film drops on Netflix June 12.
