The second Longlegs trailer is the scariest one yet.
Released by NEON and embedded below, we see Maika Monroe’s FBI agent Lee Harker desperately searching for Nicolas Cage's killer as he makes hideous moaning noises.
There’s more of a narrative to this trailer. It fleshes out the occult compulsions of Cage’s unnamed murderer, with Harker researching supernatural and satanic material in efforts to root out her man.

The killer seems like he wants to be found, however, leaving behind references to the occult and Dante's Nine Circles of Hell at the scenes of his crimes.
Thankfully, the trailer leaves specific story beats under wraps, opting to rely on unnerving sound and visuals to communicate the horror. Even the trailer’s YouTube description is terrifying, simply reading, “As many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
Written and directed by Osgood Perkins, with a cast including Maika Monroe, Alicia Witt, and Blair Underwood, Longlegs hits cinemas 12 July, 2024.
