The Trailer For 'Joker,' Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Is Finally Here

No Kidding

The final trailer for Joker has arrived.

The DC Comics story about the deranged supervillain is again in a feature film. This time, however, there is no Batman, and no particular comic book storyline, although Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne's father, does appear in the movie.

Joker Is Coming To Your Town

Joker chronicles the life of Arthur Fleck, who just can't catch a break.

He's a failed comedian who can't keep a steady job and has plenty of "negative thoughts" to go around, and it doesn't help that Robert DeNiro's character is adding to his mental decay.

During his descent into madness, Fleck gets sucked in with the bad guys in Gotham City, and things turn particularly nasty.

Happy Faces Everyone!

Joker premiers at the Venice Film Festival -- the first for a comic-book movie, -- then hits the Toronto and New York film festivals. It opens nationwide Oct. 4.
