'SNL' Host Tracy Morgan Promises to Get Everyone Pregnant

Tracy Morgan’s post-crash injuries forced him to miss Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary celebration earlier this year, but this Saturday, Oct. 16, the comedian will be back where he belongs: In front of a live studio audience in Studio 8H. Morgan teases his upcoming hosting gig in this new promo reel taped with SNL’s Bobby Moynihan. The comedian wants us to know that he’s feeling sharp as ever — first joking that he can’t recall his own 7-year stint on SNL, only to reveal that he remembers everything about that era, including the fact that Bobby owes him $72. (Or maybe it was $78. And maybe it was Horatio Sanz.)

Morgan’s SNL gig is his latest stop on his comeback tour, which began with his surprise appearance at the Emmys, and continued with a recent stand-up gig at New York’s famed Comedy Cellar. Close friend Tina Fey has supported him throughout his recovery, and it’s hard to imagine that she won’t be stopping by the stage on Saturday night to help him bring the funny, perhaps with some of their other 30 Rock collaborators in tow. Not that Morgan requires assistance in that department. “I’m going to get everyone in this building pregnant!” he shouts in one promo. As Moynihan says, that’s our Tracy.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on NBC
