Tracy Morgan, DL Hughley To Headline Rip Micheals’ 12th Annual April Fools Comedy Jam At Barclays Center

Tracy Morgan is set to headline the 12th Annual April Fools Comedy Jam, which will include appearances by DL Hughley, Bruce Bruce, and other comedic luminaries.

The event, hosted by comedian Rip Micheals, will take place on Friday (April 5) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The show will also feature live performances by veteran rap star Jeezy and rising Memphis rap artist GloRilla. Other comics slated to take the stage include Jess Hilarious, London Brown, Chaunté Wayans, Torrei Hart, Brian Hooks, Cocoa Brown, and more.

Micheals, the founder of the April Fools Comedy Jam, spoke glowingly of Morgan, a Brooklyn native, who will return to his home borough for the annual show. “We are beyond excited to have Tracy Morgan headline this year’s April Fools Comedy Jam,” the Wild ‘N Out alum expressed in a statement.

“He’s not just a comedy legend; he’s a force of nature, and his energy is exactly what we need to make this show legendary.” The host also confirmed that both Jeezy and GloRilla will rock the stage during the April Fools Comedy Jam, which he anticipates will “be a party like no other!”

Celebrated for its “its unique mix of stand-up comedy and live music,” the 12th Annual April Fools Comedy Jam will also feature Nephew Tommy, Loni Love, and DJ Envy, with more surprise guest to be announced.

Morgan made headlines earlier this year after attributing his recent weight gain to him “out-eating” Ozempic, a medicine typically prescribed to people with type 2 diabetes.

The 55-year-old, who had previously credited the drug with helping him shed pounds, made the claim during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month.

“I’ve learned to eat — I’ve out-ate Ozempic,” the 30 Rock star told Fallon. “I gained 40 pounds. Absolutely. I’m like Magic Johnson, I gained 40 pounds,” Morgan added, eliciting laughs from the studio audience.
