Tracee Ellis Ross Tells a Revealing Story About Her First Time Meeting Prince

Tracee Ellis Ross, star of the hit ABC comedy Black-ish and daughter of music icon Diana Ross, stopped by Ellen and talked about her first time meeting Prince backstage after a big show.

Ross said she was about 11 or 12 years old at the time and didn’t seem overly excited to be talking to Prince. And then she saw a side of him she wasn’t prepared to see.

“He went to walk away, and he turned around, and he was wearing chaps with nothing else underneath,” Ross said. “His bare bottom was exposed. And I was like, ‘Oh my god!’”

Looking to her mother for comfort in a moment of confusion, the tween Ross got the best response you could imagine Diana Ross would give in that situation.

“I was like, ‘Mom, that’s so gross.’ She goes, ‘No, that’s cool.’”
