Tory Lanez Arrested on Concealed Firearm Charge

Tory Lanez was arrested on a felony gun charge in Hollywood Hills on Sunday, July 12, TMZ reports. Representatives for the Los Angeles Police Department tell Pitchfork that Tory Lanez was booked for having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. Online records indicate that Tory Lanez posted $35,000 bail and was released from jail on Sunday morning. His next court date is listed as Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

According to TMZ, police responded to a “disturbance” call outside of a Hollywood Hills home around 4:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they reportedly saw people arguing in an SUV before gun shots were fired and the car drove away. Officers then located what they believed to be the SUV and found Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and another woman as passengers, TMZ reports. Police reportedly found the concealed firearm while searching the vehicle.

Online records list Tory Lanez’s arrest time as 4:40 a.m. He was booked at 8 a.m. and released at 10:05 a.m, the records show.
