Waterfalls were seen cascading down Uluru on March 21 after a period of heavy rainfall in Australia’s Northern Territory.
The unusual sight came as a result of 46 mm of rainfall over the weekend of March 20-21, according to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
This footage shows that some of the pathways around the landmark were also flooded.
“The unique and extraordinary weather event saw tourists and locals alike flocking to the National Park to get a glimpse of the full flowing waterfalls,” the park said on its Facebook page.
The footage was filmed by local woman Stacey MacGregor. “I’ve lived and worked in the area for four years and this rain was the best I have seen,” MacGregor told Storyful. Credit: Stacey MacGregor via Storyful
