Tori Spelling Shares Photo of Son Liam Prepping for Foot Surgery: 'Not Sure Who's More Nervous'

The actress shared a photo of her eldest son, Liam Aaron McDermott, awaiting his foot surgery procedure Wednesday

Tori Spelling just shared a health update on behalf of her son.

The actress, 50, shared a photo of her eldest child, Liam Aaron McDermott, 16, preparing to undergo foot surgery on Wednesday afternoon.

She shares Liam Aaron with ex-husband Dean McDermott, as well as Stella Doreen, 15,  Hattie Margaret, 11, Finn Davey, 10, and Beau Dean, 6.

"My 1st baby waiting to go into foot surgery," Spelling wrote in her Instagram Story. "Not sure who's more nervous him or mama."

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared a photo of her teenage son lying in the hospital bed while she stood behind the camera.

"Proud of your bravery," she wrote to Liam. "And things can only get better after this."

Spelling did not disclose why Liam underwent surgery, but her eldest son was not present at the family's recent outing to the 2023 Jingle Ball concert in Los Angeles. Spelling was joined by her four younger children at the Dec. 1 event.

"Jingle Ball 2023 ... Music, Kiddos, and Sequins OH MY! My kids and friends and family had the BEST time this past weekend!" Spelling wrote on Instagram, where she shared photos of her four children at the concert. She thanked iHeartRadio for making "a pre teen girl, teen girl, and moms dream come true seeing @oliviarodrigo."

"After a challenging 2023, it was everything to see Olivia! She’s been our anthem and music champion thru [sic] this time. We sang our hearts out to her," Spelling continued.

Spelling and McDermott, 56, separated in June, and since then, the actor has candidly discussed what he saw as problems in their marriage with the Daily Mail in November.

"I just isolated more and more and more and she isolated with the kids. We were roommates," McDermott said.

"Rarely, rarely, rarely did we eat together. We'd sit down and have a family meal but it was always disjointed," he continued. "It made me feel worse because I knew I was a big part of [the problem] and I was at a place where I felt there was nothing I could do about it."

While Spelling has yet to publicly address the status of her relationship with McDermott, sources previously told PEOPLE that the couple seemed to be doing well before her husband's announcement in June.

"Their friends have seen their ups and downs through the years, but they really did seem to be in a good place in recent months,” a source close to Spelling told PEOPLE. “This feels really out of the blue."
