Tori Spelling Just Bought Her First Holiday Gift with 'Days to Go': 'Crushing This Single Mom Christmas'

"Missed the Amazon Prime cut off. Now I have to brave the mall alone," the actress wrote

Tori Spelling is cutting it close ahead of Christmas.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star, 50, said in a post shared on her Instagram Story Friday that she just started holiday shopping and has a long way to go before completing her five kids' wish lists.

“It’s Dec. 22 and I officially bought my first gift for Christmas,” Spelling wrote over a photo of a silver ornament. “5 Christmas lists to tackle. 3 Days to do. Missed the Amazon Prime cut off. Now I have to brave the mall alone.”

"Crushing this single mom Christmas 2023,” she continued, adding an emoji with a laughing face and tears.

Spelling's last-minute holiday shopping comes after she announced that her son Liam, 16, had to have surgery on his foot earlier this month.

She later updated fans letting them know that the procedure was a "success," and shared a photo of Liam and a physician on her Instagram Story, adding, "My guy did great."

Previously, at the start of December, Spelling took kids Beau, 6, Finn, 11, Hattie, 12, and Stella, 15 — whom she shares with ex Dean McDermott — with her to the Jingle Ball 2023 in Los Angeles.

"Jingle Ball 2023 ... Music, Kiddos, and Sequins OH MY! My kids and friends and family had the BEST time this past weekend!," she wrote on Instagram. "After a challenging 2023, it was everything to see Olivia! She’s been our anthem and music champion thru [sic] this time. We sang our hearts out to her.”

Spelling's split from McDermott occurred earlier this year, when he announced in a since-deleted Instagram post in June that he and the star had decided to separate after 18 years of marriage.

While Spelling has yet to publicly address the status of her relationship, McDermott opened up in a November interview with The Daily Mail about what drove them apart.

"I just isolated more and more and more and she isolated with the kids. We were roommates," the actor said.

"Rarely, rarely, rarely did we eat together. We'd sit down and have a family meal but it was always disjointed," he added. "It made me feel worse because I knew I was a big part of [the problem] and I was at a place where I felt there was nothing I could do about it."

Sources previously told PEOPLE that the couple seemed to be doing well before McDermott’s announcement.

"Their friends have seen their ups and downs through the years, but they really did seem to be in a good place in recent months,” a source close to Spelling told PEOPLE. “This feels really out of the blue."
